Something for the weekend: Woody Allen goes Loco, Glassblowing and bit of Sightseeing. Your W/E to-do list.

Making a spectacle this weekend: the lovely folks at the London Comedy Film Festival invite you to Woodystock, a celebration of all things Woody Allen on his birthday. So grab your Shoreditch glasses and head to the Hackney Picture House for a very special screening of Manhattan, followed by readings from his short stories and live stand up from the likes of Tom Rosental. Then it’s jazz ‘n’ cocktails all the way to midnight. Miss it, seriously miss out!

Ready or not, it’s well and truly time to get your Christmas on. Warm your bitter behinds by the roaring fire with mulled wine and mince pies galore at the London Glassblowing Christmas Open Studio. Ideal for those in search of unique seasonal gifts.

And with the Spice Girls’ new musical well and truly open, may we recommend a trip to the cinema instead? Sightseers, out today, maps the story of two happy campers whose caravan holiday escalates into a killing spree. We’ve all been there. (Derbyshire, we mean.)

The next Lovestruck Laissez-Faire is at Patch Bar, Thursday 20 Dec and yes, it’s a CHRISTMAS SPECIAL! It’s also fun, free to attend and all are welcome to pop along (even non-Lovestruckers). So tell all your single friends/colleagues and have a drink or two at London’s hottest free ticket in town.
