The last bank holiday weekend of the year is upon us. So let’s make it a good one! With so much going in the capital, it shouldn’t be too difficult. Let’s start with a dip in one of London’s many outdoor swimming pools, shall we? Tooting Bec Lido is the largest open air, fresh water swimming pool in England – fully equipped with pantone-coloured changing huts preserved from the early 1900’s. Don’t forget your knotted hanky!
You’ll be hungry after all that swimming, so why not get back to nature with Edible Landscapes? Giving Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall a run for his money, these guys are dedicated to showing Londoners how to identify, grow and of course feast on home grown produce. Hurrah! Tickets include a tasty tutorial of treats grown in their Finsbury Park HQ.
Did we hear something about a festival? That’s right. For bright colours, loud music, dancing and street food (and drink), the Notting Hill Carnival is for you.
