Seven sex mistakes men make

Guys and girls, we’ve compiled a list of common mistakes men make in the sack, taken straight from ladies’ mouths:

Not setting the scene: We don’t mean that you have to light candles and install mirrored ceilings, like some sort of set designer. It’s just a case of getting rid of the dirty laundry, last night’s crockery and changing the sheets. Music and dim lights also help us get into the mood – but don’t go overboard, so you appear to live in some sort of sex den.

Spending enough time of foreplay: Yes, you’ve probably heard it again and again and while sometimes everyone just wants to get on with the main act, for most women a little foreplay goes a long way. Don’t forget the rest of her body in the run-up.

Ignoring her signals: Lots of women may be too shy to tell you exactly what turns her on but this is not an excuse not to read her signals. Her body language will give her away, so notice how she responds to what you are doing. If she flinches and tenses, you are probably being too rough, but if she fails to respond at all it’s probably time to turn it up a gear.

Assuming she has a different sex drive: It’s not true that women don’t like sex as much as men. While there are always differences, many of my female friends have higher sex drives than their other halves.

Trying too much at once: It’s really not necessary to try out every sexual position in one session – if you are in a relationship, hopefully there will be plenty of other times to explore your more adventurous side. Most women will try new things once they feel comfortable enough, but make sure you give her time and take it slowly.

Assuming she’s satisfied: Just because you are satisfied, doesn’t necessarily mean your partner is. Talk to her and make an effort to please her, too. Do not just roll over and go to sleep!

Never compare her: Never compare a woman to past lovers. It’s pretty mean and thoughtless and will make her feel inhibited. Point out what you like about her and the time to you spend together.
