Serial daters come from all walks of life, are both men and women, love the thrill of the chase and really sweeping you off your feet. Sometimes it’s to do with their ego, some are bored, some immature or are just not ready to commit. Whatever, their motives they will pull the ejector seat and act as if the romance never happened. Here are our top signs on spotting a serial dater:
The history part
How long did your date’s last relationship last? Was it six months or was it six weeks? Have they had a long relationship ever? If someone is in their late 20s or 30s, the chances are they have had a serious romance and if they haven’t there might be a good reason, or they might just be the type that flits from one romance to another. Maybe it’s time to back away carefully before you are charmed any further…
Bad communicator
If your date wants to see you again and is genuinely interested in getting to know you they won’t leave you waiting days between contacting you. If you’re firming up details of a date, of course a few hours or even a day, depending on the timescale is fine but if they leave you hanging for longer than that, be careful. Serial daters tend to get serious very quickly and then go cold, so if the communication suddenly drops off, try not to panic.
The charm offensive
Serial daters go in hard and will charm you something rotten to try and get the relationship to speed along quickly. Ignoring most of the typical building blocks in early relationships, they will be desperate to get you into bed. Yes, they might have gorgeous eyes but proceed with caution…
