What’s ticking the boxes for singles today?

What’s at the top of everyone’s tick list when searching for ‘the one’? According to a new survey from the fresh breath experts Dentyl Active, we aren’t as shallow as you would think. The number one thing we look for in ‘the one’ is a sense of humour, closely followed by intelligence and then looks.

But the list doesn’t stop there. For most of us searching for a potential partner the tick list is, well, endless.

The fresh breath experts at Dentyl Active, the alcohol free mouthwash with a distinctive two-phase bad breath busting action, asked 1,000 Brits about their dating life and also found that how well a partner treats you (41%) and how much you have in common (15%) are also top of the ‘tick list’.

Lagging at the bottom of our tick lists, according to those surveyed, is how wealthy they are (2%), what job they have (4%) and whereabouts in the country they are from (3%).

Whatever your ‘tick list’ contains– and we all have them to some degree or another – it’s important not to be too fussy when it comes to looking for a love-match. We don’t mean settling for someone who’s not right for you, but having a tick list which is three pages long of potential traits your suiter must have is unrealistic. We don’t mean to put a damper on it, but the person you’ve imagined in your head just doesn’t exist. So, relax and try and forget your tick list, you never know who you might meet.

However, we do agree that there is one thing it’s hard to compromise on… and that’s good oral hygiene. If a potential partner’s breath smells less than fragrant, the chances are you may not even be able to look beyond that, and it works both ways!

For fresh breath confidence and to ensure that you aren’t going to send ‘the one’ rushing in the opposite direction, remember to use Dentyl Active.

The Dentyl Active range of mouthwashes are scientifically tested to kill and remove oral bacteria, leaving teeth and gums protected for up to 18 hours so that your breath is blissfully fresh…and you are ready to get up close and personal.

The Dentyl Active range of alcohol free mouthwashes contain antibacterial ingredients – natural essential oils and Cetylpyridinium Chloride – CPC. Both ingredients, which have to be shaken together before swilling the mouthwash around the mouth, are proven to ‘bust’ oral bacteria which cause nasty breath. The bacteria and debris then stick to the clever mouthwash solution. When you rinse Dentyl Active out from the mouth you can see the bacteria, food debris and other deposits, removed and highlighted as small, brightly coloured masses in the sink. Now that’s just plain smart thinking from Dentyl Active!
