First date – first kiss?

Header

First dates – to kiss or not to kiss? This is a question I am sure most of us have often pondered to ourselves – and debated with fellow daters. Is it better to evoke a mysterious sense of desire, deliciously developed though anticipation or do we just go with the flow and do as we feel? Dating guru Jo Barnett gets lippy on the the subject.

On one hand some of us are inspired by being free-spirited and go with how we feel, while on the other, well-meaning friends bleat at us to “play hard to get” and keep our lips to ourselves until a few dates in. However, an after work first date kiss with the right person can be mischievously enticing at the end of a tediously long day.

The fresh breath experts at Dentyl Active, the alcohol free mouthwash with a two phase bad breath busting action, asked 1000 Brits a bunch of rather nosy questions about their dating life and discovered that a playful 35% of us pucker up on a first date.

We have all heard those awful first kiss stories. Over enthusiastic teeth clashing smooches, mid-kiss hiccups (it happens people), bad breath and horror of all horrors – the wrath of a bad tasting mouth.

46% of the daters cheekily questioned by Dentyl Active admitted that a pongy kiss would completely change their opinion of someone. This revealing survey also found out that 38% of these people named bad breath as one of their top three dating turn offs.

Whether you are one for chastely waiting or getting sultrily stuck in, the reality is that sometimes first date kisses just happen and you need to be prepared.

So, along with that painstaking application of makeup or copious spraying of aftershave, give your mouth a pout-worthy rinse with a bacteria-busting mouthwash too.

KISS & TELL: The Dentyl Active range of mouthwashes are scientifically tested to kill and remove oral bacteria, leaving teeth and gums protected for up to 18 hours so that your breath is blissfully fresh…and you are ready to get up close and personal.

SAY HELLO TO DENTYL ACTIVE – SHAKE IT. SEE IT. FEEL IT. ®

Group Shot Smooth Mint in the front FINAL High ResThe Dentyl Active range of alcohol free mouthwashes contain antibacterial ingredients – natural essential oils and Cetylpyridinium Chloride – CPC. Both ingredients, which have to be shaken together before swilling the mouthwash around the mouth, are proven to ‘bust’ oral bacteria which cause nasty breath. The bacteria and debris then stick to the clever mouthwash solution. When you rinse Dentyl Active out from the mouth you can see the bacteria, food debris and other deposits, removed and highlighted as small, brightly coloured masses in the sink. Now that’s just plain smart thinking from Dentyl Active!
