The event forms part of the BFI’s Sci-Fi season Days of Fear and Wonder and is presented by the Argentine Film Festival London, LOCO London Comedy Film Festival and The New Black Film Collective in an event that will transcend both time and space.

Kicking off with an inter-galactic start on this Friday (12th), there is a screening of Brother from Another Planet. The 1984 flick about an escaped alien slave with the appearance of a black human that is chased by outer-space bounty hunters through the streets of Harlem. A post-screening showcase will explore the subject of alienation followed by special performances and a hip-hop after party with a dance master class.

Saturday (13th) will see a unique screening of La Antena, with a live musical score from Esben and the Witch. This atmospheric 1998 film, tells the story of a city that has lost its voice, stolen by Mr TV, and the attempts of a small family to win the voice back. Other worldly Latin beats and boleros, and futuristic tracks will follow the screening at a silent sci-fi fiesta as Movimientos DJ Cal Jader hits the decks at the Argentine Film Festival’s silent disco until late.

The weekender comes to a close on Sunday 14th. From midday, brunch is served at Milliways: The Restaurant at the end of the Universe before further celebration of Douglas Adams’ work continues into the afternoon and through the evening with a unique programme of rare footage and special guests and a Hitchhikers’ Guide To The Galaxy Marathon.

We have six pairs of complimentary day tickets (covering Friday, Saturday and Sunday – take your pick!)
