Is the jungle an aphrodisiac? Is there something about the men chopping wood and the women behaving like damsels in distress that makes everyone a bit Tarzan and Jane? The word on the street is that The Only Way Is Essex star Joey Essex has his sights set on Miss 
Great Britain star, Amy Willerton.
Joey admitted: “If there was a nice girl in there and I got on really well with her, who knows what would happen? A bit of eye candy would be nice so hopefully there will be a beautiful girl.”
And Amy declared: “I am completely and utterly single. I have no idea who is going in the jungle but I am going in knowing I might meet someone in there. If I meet someone in the jungle who is right, then who knows what will happen…!”
Bookies Paddy Power are offering odds of 5/1 that they will announce they are together by the end of next year.
We can’t wait to see sparks fly, so we thought we’d look back on our top romances that developed between the stars, when they weren’t eating kangaroo anuses or complaining about the lack of hot water.
Jordan and Peter Andre: The biggest romance to develop from the show back in 2004, this pair went on to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony – (anyone remember THAT Cinderella 
carriage), have two children together, then broke up in a bitter divorce. Their unlikely partnerships produced magazine covers and reality TV shows aplenty.
Marc Bannerman and Cerys Matthews: The Catatonia and EastEnders star hit it off in the jungle in 2007 and Marc split from his then girlfriend Sarah Matravers before they dated for a year before calling it a day.
Mark Wright and Emily Scott: If Joey does embark on a romance with Amy, he won’t be the first TOWIE star to find a match in the jungle. Sparks flew between Mark and Emily in 2011 but despite talk of dates while they were in the jungle, the relationship didn’t last beyond the show.
Declan Donnelly and Ashley Roberts: The chemistry between these two was electric and Dec didn’t hide his crush on the Pussycat Dolls Star. When Ashley admitted to Charlie Brooks that she would have sex in the jungle, Dec said ”Oh my gosh. Everything I want to say is un-broadcastable or illegal – or career ending. Let’s calm down.”
