Curry.  A dish so popular that we even have a National Curry Week. Date trivia: Did you know there  are more Indian restaurants in London than in Delhi and Bombay combined? I mean we seriously love this stuff so don’t sweat it, grab a date and spice up your love life with some of the best curry houses in town…

If you are looking for an authentic place with an established family-run history – Brilliant is the place. 40 years of producing delicious curry is something to brag about as is the fact that Prince Charles himself has visited the place (the evidence is the photo you can see hanging on the wall) so if its good enough for Royalty…Brilliant has earned its popularity by serving one of the best Punjabi dishes in town –  get ready for a spicy date.

A newbie in town, we are confident enough to declare it’s a rising star among Indian restaurants. Maybe the secret of the success lays in the Calcutta born owner, Shrim Chakraborty – who knows a thing or two about good curry. The place is intimate and cosy and creates a somewhat homely vibe.  “Kosha mangsho” a traditional mutton curry, is highly recommended – it might make you cry, but hopefully tears of pure delight, not a bad date.

It’s been a regular on the Lovestruck date menu for many years. Looking for a high-end sharp Indian dining experience? Or hoping to impress your date? Head to the Cinammon Club. Located in Grade II-listed Victorian building, it offers a fine-dining menu of pan-Indian dishes served up among a grand atmosphere. Opt for the Herdwick lamb curry, Vivek Singh’s special, and fall in love.

This Pakistani retaurant is real Mekka for those who deeply love their curry. Don’t be put off by a fairly plain exterior, the  queues outside will prove what lays within is worth waiting for. Great prices and excellent service make people come back again and again. Dry lamb curry is the house special.

So there you have it. Take your favourite hot date to one of these hot curry houses and spice up your love life…We’re starving.
